MusicLessonsNashville.com Beta Site Enters Phase 2

Our new, local “Nashville-only” music lessons directory beta site, MusicLessonsNashville.com, has now entered phase two. So, what’s new? In phase 1, I personally created listings for only a handful of popular Nashville music schools and teachers for the purpose of testing and collecting information on how to best operate the site. Schools and teachers that wanted to be included in the site afterward had to make contact by phone and then I would personally create listings for them as well. But now users can create listings on the spot with automated email verification. Schools and teachers that previously had a listing created by me can now claim their listings and take control of updating the information, photos, etc. therein.

Allowing users to claim, update, or create their own listings was the next necessary step to help keep this directory current. As I grow the site, however, I will also continue to personally create and update listings for schools and teachers that may not know about us yet, or otherwise haven’t had the time. But for those of you that do take control of your listings, I’m always happy to hear about suggestions for improving the site.
